I finished the Bean and Baybah's socks. Two pairs of socks for a new knitter - not too bad. These are Baybah's and the heels do match. She wore them all Christmas day and proclaimed them "comfy". (This is my hard to please 3 year old, who needs sock seams just so - I hit a homerun.)

I made an Unoriginal Hat from the Yarn Harlot pattern to thank my sister-in-law for giving me a garbage bag full of yarn. It think it's quite pretty, and I will make another one with the other half of the Wool Ease skein.

I made 3 prayer shawls - one for the Presbys, one for the Episcopalians, and one for me. Wonder Hubby had never seen my umbrella swift and ball winder before. He got quite a kick out of the whole deal. The shawl pattern is the Lion Brand Half Moon Shawl. A fairly quick pattern that I will use again and again. Not quite the same pattern - but the pattern none the less.
I was winding yarn for a pattern proposal. We'll see what happens, but I finally felt like designing again.
We also sent 76 hats to the hospital in the middle of December, so I was making baby hats all along too.
I knit quick ornaments for my parents and my sister. I used the Berroco Minutia #6 pattern, although I did ease up and only cabled on the front of the little sweater.
I began Wonder Hubby's socks out of Knit One Crochet 2 Soxx Appeal. Seems like quite a yummy yarn. I'm just using a K3, P1 rib down the length of the leg. It's going to take me a while, I'm only 3 inches down on the first leg. But I do have my new handy-dandy Knit Picks Sock needles, along with the Knit Picks Options set. So nice and pointy. I'm in heaven. I don't ever have to look at each needle and decide which side is pointy-er.
Wonder Hubby also ordered me the Smart Patterns Sweater Designer software for Christmas, so that will be coming in about 2 weeks. It looks interesting, I'll let you know.
I haven't picked up my Oblique sweater for a while now, I hope to get kicking on that again soon. I just need to hammer out the aforementioned proposals. Which I am blogging about as a procrastination method. Need to be in the mail tomorrow. Ah well. I promise not to be so long again in posting. I'll be better. It must be my resolution for 2008.
Happy New Year!

Yo hey are you on Ravelry yet??? You simply must. Congrats on the socks and the cables. Funny, I tackled both this holiday season myself. I've got a pair of bias-knit socks started for Adam and a pair of cable knit armwarmers in Malabrigo for myself. I'm having a blast.
